Sprouting: The Art of Gardening in a Jar with Wanda Poindexter (Hands-on)
October 17, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
THIS CLASS IS SOLD OUT! Wanda Poindexter, has taught sprouting for over a decade, will show you how to economically grow organic food in your kitchen by sprouting seeds and beans. Your body is alive and it will be healthier when eating live fresh food with no additives and little processing. Sprouts are rich in vitamins, minerals, protein and chlorophyll. They are easy to digest and a good energy food. Sprouting is easy to learn and fast–sprouts are ready in 3-5 days and use little water and space. It’s a great family activity. Participants will taste various types of sprouts and leave with instructions, recipes, and all the materials you need to begin sprouting. Please bring two (very clean), dry, glass jars with lids (16 to 32 ounces) with you. Everything else you need to start sprouting immediately will be provided. Children 10 or older are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult.
