Make Your Own Soft Drinks or Alcoholic Wines and Ciders with Dan Dorsey (Demo)
October 15, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm8$
Learn how to create your own soft drinks and wines, using the common beneficial yeasts and bacteria that are already floating around in the air or on the drink ingredients- and simple containers you already have in your kitchen. No special equipment is required. This workshop will show you how to make these drinks using techniques going back hundreds and even thousands of years. We’ll talk about the historical story behind these ferments. Fermentation has been used to create delicious complex flavors, prevent and treat disease, preserve, and free up additional nutrients in food and drink for thousands of years. Bring a small cup for sampling the drinks.
